Ireland - Southwest

We divide our hotels into three basic categories, Country Homes, First-Class Hotels, and Deluxe Hotels. Below is a brief description of each type of accommodation.

Country Homes - Our most requested style of accommodation. Country homes and manors are small hotels offering fine accommodations and good values. A great way to meet the locals!

First-Class Hotels - Generally three and four-star hotels that offer more spacious accommodations and more facilities than the country homes. Most of our first-class hotels also command great locations close to or overlooking some of the world's best golf courses!

Deluxe Hotels - Elegant hotels for the discerning traveler. If you are looking for the very best the area has to offer, these hotels are for you.

Actons Hotel, Kinsale

In the heart of Ireland's "gourmet city" of Kinsale is Acton's Hotel. The three-star hotel offers 78 comfortable guestrooms many of which have views of the harbor and yachting marina. The hotel restaurant – The Captain's Table – is well known for the quality of its food and is a member of the Kinsale Good Food Circle.

Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort, Adare

This fabulous five-star resort property is located in County Limerick, south of Shannon. Formerly the home of the Earl of Dunraven, the Adare Manor dates back to 1720, and was rebuilt in the Tudor Revival style between 1832 and 1860. Set on an 840-acre estate overlooking the River Maigue, Adare Manor is truly one of Ireland's finest accommodations. The property also features a championship caliber golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.

Aghadoe Heights Hotel, Killarney

Located just 10 minutes from downtown Killarney, this luxurious, five-star hotel offers one of Killarney's finest accommodations with breathtaking views of the surrounding lakes and mountains. The hotel offers excellent service, beautifully appointed rooms, and Frederick's Rooftop restaurant which is perhaps the best restaurant in the area.

Blue Haven Hotel, Kinsale

Completely refurbished in 2004, this delightful hotel is centrally located on the site of the old fish market and is renowned for its fresh seafood and shellfish cuisine. The property features 18 individually furnished guestrooms with exquisite furniture, plasma TVs, and finer touches that make each room unique. The Blue Haven also offers a variety of dining options including a fine-dining restaurant, an outdoor deck, and the popular Cafe Blue.

Cliff House Hotel, Ballybunion

This family run, 45-room hotel is situated just 100 yards from the beach and close to the famous links courses. The Carraig Restaurant offers a great selection of fresh seafood and wonderful views of the setting sun. The Cliff House has been rated three stars by the Irish Tourist Board.

Echo Lodge, by Adare

Golfpac travelers love The Mustard Seed at Echo Lodge. Within easy driving distance of Shannon airport, this four-star country house hotel and restaurant is a great location from which to start or end a golf trip to Ireland. The property is most well known for the quality of food served in its restaurant, The Mustard Seed. Fresh herbs and vegetables are taken straight from the garden, to the kitchen, and onto the dining tables each evening. The hotel features 17 individually decorated guestrooms with modern facilities yet an antique flair.

Fairview Guest House, Killarney

Winner of Killarney's "Best Guesthouse" and "Best New Development" awards in 2005 , the Fairview Guesthouse has quickly become a favorite of Golfpac travelers. The purpose-built accommodation is set in a quiet location in the heart of downtown Killarney. From here you can walk to all the famous restaurants, bars, and shops that make Killarney such a great place to stay. The hotel is easy to find and hard to leave, with spacious rooms and modern amenities.

Glin Castle, Limerick

This beautiful historic property stands on the River Shannon and is surrounded by formal gardens and parkland in the middle of 500 acres of wood and dairy farm. Excellent cuisine using fresh vegetables and fruit from the walled kitchen garden. Glin village, which boasts the prettiest pub in Ireland, is at the front gate.

Hayfield Manor, Cork

We cannot say enough good things about Hayfield Manor. Voted AA Irish Hotel of the Year for 2003/04, this magnificent property will exceed all your expectations. The hotel features 88 elegant guestrooms and a level of personal service that blends efficiency and kindness. Guests rave about the services and treatments available at The Manor Spa and about the food served in The Manor Room. Other five-star facilities include a state-of-the-art fitness center and a terrific conference/business center. Hayfield Manor is definitely "the" place to stay while visiting Cork.

Iragh Ti Connor, Ballybunion

This country home is situated within its own walled gardens at the top of Main Street in Ballybunion. Dating back to the 19th Century, the house has been renovated to provide 17 guestrooms, a residents lounge, drawing room, public bar, and restaurant. All of these features, along with a private car park, combine to make the Iragh Ti Connor a great addition to the Ballybunion hotel scene.

Killarney Lodge, Killarney

This family run, purpose-built accommodation is located just a short walk from Killarney's town center. It's the perfect location for playing all the great courses of Southwest Ireland and enjoying the restaurants, shops, and sights of Killarney. The guesthouse provides private parking for guests, 12 air-conditioned bedrooms, comfortable lounges with open fires, and an extensive breakfast menu. As you'll find in many small guesthouses, the friendly service at Killarney Lodge is what sets it apart from other Irish hotels.

Killarney Park Hotel, Killarney

Opened in 1992, the Killarney Park Hotel has earned a reputation as one of the area's finest accommodations over the years. In fact, the Park is rated five stars by the Irish Tourist Board and is one of the country's finest hotels. The hotel features 66 rooms, elegant decor, spacious lounges, open fires, and an excellent Spa facility. Most importantly, its location in the town of Killarney makes it an ideal host for touring Southwest Ireland.

Killarney Royal, Killarney

One of Killarney's most popular accommodations, the four-star Royal is well known in the area for the attentive service provided by the hotel's great staff. The well kempt property features 29 comfortable bedrooms, a popular restaurant, and a cozy lounge bar. Perhaps best of all, you can walk from the Royal to all of Killarney's most entertaining shops, restaurants, and pubs.

Killeen House Hotel, Killarney

'A charming little hotel' best describes his unique property. Built in the 1830s and renovated in the 1990s, the house has an acre of beautiful gardens and is located just 10 minutes from Killarney's center. The hotel features 23 guestrooms and an elegant 24-seat dining room. It's owned and operated by the dynamo team of Geraldine and Michael Rosney, who provide such friendly service that you'll feel more like you're visiting a friend rather than staying in a hotel. You'll love the Killeen House!

Old Bank House, Kinsale

This terrific accommodation is one of our favorite places to stay in Ireland. The three-story hotel offers 17 rooms that accentuate Georgian style with period pieces and original art. Most rooms provide excellent views of the harbor and the town of Kinsale. Best of all, you'll love the gourmet breakfast served by your host and hostess, Michael and Marie Riese. The Old Bank House has been voted one of the "Top 100 Places to Stay in Ireland" by Bridgestone Guides every year since 1990.

Park Hotel, Kenmare

The Park Hotel Kenmare has stood proudly overlooking the Ring of Kerry and Kenmare Bay for more than 100 years with antique furnishings, original artwork and log fires being the charm of this 5 star property. A warm welcome awaits you at this very elegant, yet comfortable hotel.

Perryville House, Kinsale

This guesthouse is located in the beautiful town of Kinsale, nicknamed the "Gourmet Capital of Ireland." It is poised in the center of this medieval fishing port blending the grandeur of the past with the luxuries and conveniences of today. Amenities include luxuriously appointed bathrooms, delicious breakfast buffets of fresh fruits and cereals, and tea served daily in the elegant drawing room.

Sheen Falls Lodge, Kenmare

Located at the foot of heather covered hills and overlooking the Sheen Waterfalls and the Kenmare Bay, the Sheen Falls features 40 luxurious bedrooms, spacious lounges, an excellent wine cellar, a health and fitness center, swimming pool, library, billiard room, great cuisine, and terrific service and hospitality. Superb dining is available in either La Cascade Restaurant or Oscar's Bistro. Recreation on the estate includes horseback riding, tennis, clay shooting, and salmon fishing.

Teach de Broc Guesthouse, Ballybunion

You'll find one of our favorite accommodations in Ireland located literally across the street from Ballybunion Golf Club. The fabulous Teach de Broc Guesthouse offers 14 well-equipped rooms and is an excellent location from which to tour County Kerry. Although other meals are not offered, the bountiful breakfast served here each morning is a great way to start the day.

Waterville House, Waterville

Located on Ballinskelligs Bay, just a couple minutes from the 1st tee of the Waterville Golf Links, is the charming Waterville House. This intimate, elegant country house offers tremendous sea views in comfortable accommodations. Built in the late 18th century, the house features 10 delightful bedrooms, a sauna, a billiard room, an outdoor heated pool, and a private golf practice facility. Although a bountiful breakfast is served daily, the hotel does not offer a full service restaurant. However, there are some great places to eat nearby!
