Itinerary

SATURDAY

Depart the States for Portugal.

SUNDAY

Arrive Portugal (Faro) where you will be met by a Golfpac International representative who will assist with securing your rental car and answering any last minute questions. From the airport travel east (20 minutes) towards Olhao and your hotel for check-in.

This afternoon you will receive a welcome tour briefing at your hotel by a Golfpac International representative.

ACCOMMODATION:

This small country hotel is located near the cities of Olhao and Faro, yet only 15 minutes from the international airport of Faro. Although in the country side, this country hotel is just a few miles away from the beautiful Algarve beaches of Ria Formosa Natural Park. This new resort has remarkably serene natural surroundings and it's rustic decoration gives it a quiet and peaceful environment. The hotel offers 22 luxurious bedrooms equipped with TV, air conditioned, hairdresser, electronic safe, mini bar, telephone, internet connection and private bathroom with amenities. The hotel also has to offer a restaurant and bar, pitch & putt golf course (5 holes), outside swimming pool, gymnasium, conference room, game rooms and a private park.

This morning you will be met by our Scottish PGA Professional Robin Wilson, who will offer you guidance and help with your golfing preparations before your afternoon round at Benamor.

GOLF:

BENAMOR GOLF COURSE

This course lies between the coastline at Tavira and the Serra. Built from an original concept by Sir Henry Cotton, the undulating ground exposes stunning view on all sides.

PGA Professional Robin Wilson will be on hand this morning with more helpful advice and hints for this afternoon's game at Quinta da Ria.

GOLF:

Play Golf on Quinta da Ria, Designed by Rocky Roquemore and set in the spectacular location of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, in Eastern Algarve.

WEDNESDAY

Today is free to relax and sightsee around the Algarve.

SIGHTSEEING SUGGESTION: TAVIRA

Tavira is one of the most attractive towns in the Algarve and its origin dates back to around 2000 BC. During the occupation of the Algarve by the Moors this town was considered of great importance due to its fishing industry. Dom Paio Peres Correia took it from the Moors in anger in 1242 after seven of his principal Knights were killed during a period of truce. In the 17th Century the port was of considerable importance, shipping produce such as salt, dried fish and wine. Like most of the Algarve its buildings were all virtually destroyed by the earthquake of 1755.

Today play Quinta de Cima, the inland course part of the 36 hole complex shared with Quinta da Ria and set in the delightful Ria Formosa National Park near the beautiful fishing town of Tavira.

FRIDAY

Today is free to relax and sightsee around the Algarve.

SIGHTSEEING SUGGESTION: OLHAO

Visit the well known fish market of Olhao, take a walk along the seafront promenade, have coffee overlooking the marina and the local islands or Armona and Farol and enjoy lunch at a local "tasca".

SATURDAY

Your wonderful trip has come to an end. Travel to Faro International Airport (20 minutes) for a return flight to the States.

• Carts at the golf courses, unless specified. Please inquire about requesting carts in advance.
• Any items not specifically described in the itinerary.
• PAI (personal accident insurance) and gas on the rental car.
• Items of a personal nature, such as laundry, phone calls, etc.
• Sightseeing excursion fees.

Tee Times in Portugal

Players must have their handicap certificates with them. Most courses have maximum handicap requirements of 28 for men and 36 for ladies.

Necessary for Booking

When confirming a reservation the following information is needed:

• Full names of everyone in the party & a rooming list.
• A copy of each golfer's handicap card.
• Flight information (arrival & departure).

Reservation Procedures

1. Simply call, write, or fax us with your inquiry.
2. 30% per person deposit required ($750 minimum for deposit).
3. Hotels, golf courses, and ground transportation confirmed. All courses and hotels based on availability at time of booking.
4. Full payment due 60 (sixty) days prior to arrival. Approximately 2-4 weeks prior to your departure you will receive all necessary travel documents.

Method of Payment

U.S. currency in the form of agency checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.

Cancellations

Cancellations after deposit/payment should be made in writing. A $500 per person fee will be charged plus expenses incurred, such as non-refundable golf and hotel deposits. Additional cancellation penalties:

• 180-60 days prior to departure: Full deposit forfeited.
• 59-28 days prior: 50% of total package price forfeited, plus any non-refundable fees.
• Thereafter: Full payment forfeited.

Exchange Rates

Tour prices are based on exchange rates effective at time quotation and are subject to change. It may be necessary to add a surcharge to the price of your vacation if fluctuations in the exchange rate deem it necessary. Once full payment has been received surcharges may not be levied.

Refunds

REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN FOR UNUSED PORTIONS OF ANY TOUR.
