Ballybunion - Old Course #17
BALLYBUNION - OLD COURSE
Located in the northwest corner of County Kerry is Ireland's most popular course. Perhaps the finest seaside course in Ireland, if not the world, Ballybunion Old is a virtually treeless links. The course travels up, down, over, and around majestic dunes and demands long and accurate shots to closely trapped greens. Tom Watson and other well-known professionals make annual trips to Ballybunion to tune up their game for the British Open. The Old Course is a must for all golfers visiting Ireland!
Please note: Due to ever increasing demand, Ballybunion now requires all gentlemen golfers to have a valid handicap of 24 or lower and all women to have a valid handicap of 36 or lower.

Fairly new by Irish standards, Tralee opened in 1984 and was immediately recognized as one of the most breathtaking in the world. The holes are situated along a beautiful stretch of County Kerry's west coast with amazing views of cliffs and the beach.

Ballybunion Cashen Course
BALLYBUNION CASHEN COURSE
After the Old Course at Ballybunion was "discovered" in the mid-1970s, golfers from all over the world began arriving there to play it. To ensure that the old girl didn't get worn out, the decision was made to build a second course. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1981, the Cashen Course is set on spectacular dunes land between the Atlantic Ocean and the River Cashen. While shorter than the original at just over 6,300 yards, the Cashen Course is arguably the tougher of the two. Like on the Old Course, the fairways are narrow and fast, the greens are well bunkered and firm, and blind shots are common. Stiff winds off the water only add to the challenge, and it all helps make the Cashen Course a true links experience.
Following golf travel to Lahinch (2 hours 30 minutes).

Vaughan Lodge
VAUGHAN LODGE, LAHINCH (Standard Room)

Travel to Doonbeg (30 minutes).
GOLF:

Doonbeg Golf Course
DOONBEG
The Doonbeg Golf Course is the product of the creative genius of Greg Norman. This course is designed along the towering dunes on a crescent of Ireland's famed southwestern shore between Lahinch and Ballybunion. Greg Norman says, "This is the best piece of property I have seen anywhere in the world."

Lahinch was originally laid out by Old Tom Morris in 1893 and redesigned three decades later by Dr. Alister MacKenzie. The course calls for various blind shots and can be extremely challenging.
