The Castle Course is the first new tournament standard golf course to be built in St Andrews in nearly 100 years. This cliff top wonder, located just a few minutes from city center, was designed by David McLay Kidd (of Bandon Dunes fame) where at times you'll tee up some 80 feet above the St Andrews Bay. Opened to rave reviews in 2008, Kidd incorporated five sets of tees, wider fairways and bigger greens into this 7200 yard, par 72 course to compensate for the exposed nature of the cliff top site which offers fantastic views of the town of St Andrews. The Castle Course (named after Kinkell Castle) is now the seventh course amongst the Links Trust of St. Andrews. A true gem in the making!
Dinner is included this evening at your hotel.
