ThursdayDepart the States for South Africa. FridayArrive South Africa (Cape Town International Airport), where youll be met by a Golfpac International representative. From the airport you will be transferred (25 minutes transfer) by your private driver to the first class Radisson Hotel Waterfront next to the V&A Waterfront where everything is happening. The remainder of your afternoon will be at your leisure. This evening you will be joined by your tour guide for a welcome/orientation session during which the tour itinerary will be discussed in detail. Accommodation: Radisson Hotel Waterfront, Cape Town (Standard Room) SaturdayWe will ascend Table Mountain (weather permitted) and visit Cape Point, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, the Boulder penguin colony and drive over Chapmans Peak before returning to our hotel. Your evening will be at leisure. Dominated by the world famous landmark, Table Mountain, and blessed with a spectacular coastline and a Mediterranean type climate, the mother city of South Africa has a variety of attractions to excite every visitor. Accommodation: Radisson Hotel Waterfront, Cape Town (Standard Room) SundayAfter breakfast we leave for the Cape Winelands (45 minutes transfer) where we will play the Jack Nicklaus designed Pearl Valley golf course. Pearl Valley golf course is situated in the famed Franschhoek valley and is the second Jack Nicklaus course in South Africa. The golf course lies within a ring of mountains formed by the Drakenstein and Simonsberg. Pearl Valley has become one of the major jewels in the Western Capes already gem encrusted golf course crown. After golf we visiting Franchhoek - the culinary capital of the Cape - for lunch. We visit a working wine farm to taste some of the best wines the Cape has to offer before returning to our hotel. This evening you can explore the V&A Waterfront and dine at one of the many top restaurants on offer. Accommodation: Radisson Hotel Waterfront, Cape Town (Standard Room) MondayAfter breakfast, a scenic drive (3 hours 30 minutes) along the garden route will take us to the Fancourt Hotel & Spa in George. Upon arrival you will have time to explore the resort before dining at any of the four restaurants on the resort. Fancourt was voted the Best Golf Resort in the World 2003 by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators. TuesdayToday you play the Gary Player's The Links at Fancourt. The Links at Fancourt is an awe-inspiring example of magnificent design and golf-course construction, about which designer Gary Player says: Links golf is how the game originated and at The Links we take golfers back to the roots of golf and they can play a British Open all of their own! The Links is without doubt the most impressive piece of golf design and construction ever in South Africa. When playing The Links, it is difficult to believe that one is not in Scotland or Ireland, until, that is, one notices the imposing Outeniqua mountain range that rises impressively in the background. The Links was the host venue for the 2003 Presidents Cup and 2005 Womens World Cup of Golf. After golf you can spend your day at the Health Spa or on the beach at Herolds Bay, where Ernie Els resides. This evening you will be at leisure to explore the award winning resort. Accommodation: Fancourt Hotel & Spa, George (One-Bedroom Garden Suite) WednesdayToday we play the Montagu Golf Course at Fancourt. The Montagu is a much celebrated parkland course and has been ranked as the number-one golf course in South Africa in the past. It has recently been redesigned by the famous David McLay Kidd (of Bandon Dunes fame). The new-look course, which has now grown in superbly, has been restored to its former glory where it will once again hold its head high amongst the best in the world. After golf we take a scenic drive (1 hour) along the pristine coastal area called the Garden Route to the picturesque town of Knysna where we will stay at the Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa. Early evening we will take a sundowner cruise on the Knysna Lake before we dine at one of Knysnas superb sea food restaurants. ThursdayAfter breakfast we play the stunningly beautiful Pezula golf course. The Pezula golf course is a sweeping spectacle of fairways and greens rolling through the pristine landscape. After your golf game we explore the quaint town of Knysna or you can drop in at the Pezula Health & Beauty Spa for a much needed massage (Optional). Dinner will be at Zacharys Restaurant at Pezula. Accommodation: Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa (Studio Suite) FridayAfter an early morning breakfast we will fly from George to Port Elizabeth from where you are transferred to the fabulous Shamwari Game Reserve (1 hour transfer) for an unforgettable African Safari. This is where Tiger Woods got engaged! An evening game drive is in the works tonight. An optional game of golf will be arranged at the Bushman Sands golf course in nearby Alicedale for those that need a break from the elephants, lions, rhinoceros, leopards, buffalos etc. Accommodation: Shamwari Game Reserve (Eagles Crag Lodge) Shamwari is a 49,000 acre malaria free, private game reserve situated in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. This Big 5 reserve received numerous international awards, including the World's Leading Conservation Company and Game Reserve for five consecutive years. It is situated in verdant bush along the Bushmans River, halfway between Port Elizabeth (45 minutes drive outside the city) and Grahams town, a pleasant drive from Cape Town, forming a natural extension to the famous Garden Route. The reserve boasts five eco-systems, thus enabling the support of many forms of plant, animal and bird life. SaturdayToday is spent on a South African safari (both morning and evening drives). As you return from your morning game drive a wonderful breakfast awaits. The remainder of the afternoon is spent at your leisure until you prepare for your evening game drive. As night settles in and guests return from their evening game drive, they will be presented with a wonderful dinner. Evening is at leisure to explore Cape Towns biggest tourist attraction The V&A Waterfront. Accommodation: Shamwari Game Reserve (Eagles Crag Lodge) SundayAfter an early morning game drive (optional) and late breakfast we leave for Port Elizabeth Airport where you will catch a short flight to Cape Town International from where you will depart on your outbound flight * Option: Spend a 3rd night in Shamwari Game Reserve (please call for details).
