Friday, January 16Depart the States for South Africa. Saturday, January 17Arrive South Africa (Cape Town International Airport), where youll be met by a Golfpac International representative. From the airport you will be transferred (25 minutes transfer) by your private driver to the first class Radisson Hotel Waterfront next to the V&A Waterfront where everything is happening. The remainder of your afternoon will be at your leisure. This evening you will be joined by your tour guide for a welcome/orientation session during which the tour itinerary will be discussed in detail. Accommodation: Radisson Hotel Waterfront, Cape Town (Standard Room) Sunday, January 18Today we play the Arabella Golf Course near Hermanus (one-hour travel time). We will travel through the Overberg Mountain range, over Sir Lowry's pass and through the fruit producing region of Grabouw, before arriving at Arabella to play one of the top 10 courses in South Africa. Voted the number two golf course in South Africa by Compleat Golfer and the top golf course in the Western Cape, Arabella stretches through rolling fairways, deceptive bunkers and challenging water traps. A truly unique golf course set on the banks of the Bot River lagoon and fringed by indigenous fynbos. There is no doubt that a round of golf here ranks with the best experiences anywhere in the world. Our return journey to Cape Town takes us along the False Bay coastal road for a totally different view. Evening at leisure. Accommodation: Radisson Hotel Waterfront, Cape Town (Standard Room) Monday, January 19We will ascend Table Mountain (weather permitting) and visit Cape Point, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, the Boulder penguin colony and drive over Chapmans Peak before returning to our hotel. Your evening will be at leisure. Dominated by the world famous landmark, Table Mountain, and blessed with a spectacular coastline and a Mediterranean type climate, the mother city of South Africa has a variety of attractions to excite every visitor. Accommodation: Radisson Hotel Waterfront, Cape Town (Standard Room) Tuesday, January 20After breakfast we leave for the Cape Winelands (45 minutes transfer) where we will play the Jack Nicklaus designed Pearl Valley Golf Course. Pearl Valley golf course is situated in the famed Franschhoek valley and is the second Jack Nicklaus course in South Africa. The golf course lies within a ring of mountains formed by the Drakenstein and Simonsberg. Pearl Valley has become one of the major jewels in the Western Capes already gem encrusted golf course crown. After golf we visit Franchhoek - the culinary capital of the Cape - for lunch. We visit a working wine farm to taste some of the best wines the Cape has to offer. This evening you can explore the V&A Waterfront and dine at one of the many top restaurants on offer. Accommodation: Radisson Hotel Waterfront, Cape Town (Standard Room) Wednesday, January 21After breakfast we depart for Cape Town International airport from where you will board a 2 hour flight to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. Upon arrival into Johannesburg, you are transferred to the famous Sun City Resort (2 hour transfer) where you will check into the Cascades Hotel This afternoon you are free to relax and explore around this world famous resort before getting ready for the evenings festivities. This evening you will attend the Official Opening Ceremony of the 2009 Womens World Cup of Golf event. This by invitation only event promises to be one of the highlights of the tour. Accommodation: Cascades Hotel, Sun City (Standard Room) Deep in the rugged bushveld, in the heart of an ancient volcano, lies the worlds most unique resort, the internationally acclaimed Sun City Resort. The Cascades Hotel is reminiscent of a tropical paradise overlooking cascading waterfalls and a tropical forest. Thursday, January 22After an early breakfast you will receive a coaching lesson by one of the Womens World Cup teaching professionals before teeing off at the fabulous Lost City Golf Course. Golfers are astounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Lost City Golf Course. The dessert style design of the golf course has an exotic allure all of its own and designer Gary Player has acknowledged it as one of his favourite courses. The water hazard at the 13th hole is inhabited by 2 meter long crocodiles and you are discouraged to retrieve your lost ball! IMPORTANT NOTE: A lucky draw will determine who will play in the Womens World Cup Pro-Am today on the Gary Player Course. After golf you can cool down at the pool, try your luck at the casino or challenge the valley of the waves. Accommodation: Cascades Hotel, Sun City (Standard Room) Friday, January 23After breakfast we visit the Cultural Village at Sun City for a show of song and dance which will leave you a little better informed about the traditional cultures in South Africa. After the Cultural Village experience you will be transferred to the Tuningi Safari Lodge in the Madikwe Game Reserve for an unrivaled safari in the African bush (2 hour transfer). This evening prepare for your first game drive. As night sets in, lanterns and candles are lit and the mood goes from bush to baroque. Guests return from their evening game drive to be presented with a bush extravaganza dinner, prepared by Tuningis Executive Chef, in the boma with a blazing log fire to keep them warm. Saturday, January 24Today is spent on a South African safari (both morning and evening drives). As you return from your morning game drive a wonderful breakfast awaits. The remainder of the afternoon is spent at leisure until you prepare for your evening game drive. As guests return from their evening game drive, they will be presented with yet another wonderful display of African cuisine. Accommodation: Tuningi Safari Lodge, Madikwe Game Reserve (Safari Lodge) Sunday, January 25After an early morning game drive and breakfast we leave Tuningi for Sun City where you will be ale to attend the final days play of the Womens World Cup event and get to meet some of the best women golfers in the world. You will also receive accreditation to one of the Womens World Cup of Golf VIP Hospitality Marquees , an official Womens World Cup of Golf shirt and a gift hamper. Your final evening will include a farewell party at the cocktail bar socializing with some of the whos who in world golf. Accommodation: Cascades Hotel, Sun City (Standard Room) Monday, January 26After a late breakfast we will leave Sun City for the O.R.
