Hotels in Southeast
We divide our hotels into three basic categories, Country Homes, First-Class Hotels, and Deluxe Hotels. Below is a brief description of each type of accommodation.
Our most requested style of accommodation. Country homes and manors are small hotels offering fine accommodations and good values. A great way to meet the locals!
Generally three and four-star hotels that offer more spacious accommodations and more facilities than the country homes. Most of our first-class hotels also command great locations close to or overlooking some of the world's best golf courses!
Elegant hotels for the discerning traveler. If you are looking for the very best the area has to offer, these hotels are for you.
Bell Inn, Sandwich
The Bell Hotel has been welcoming guests to stay and dine in Sandwich, Kent since the 17th Century. However, a Bell Inn has existed on The Quay, overlooking what would have been the harbour, now the River Stour, since the 14th Century and reputedly even hosted Queen Elizabeth I. The present listed building itself though is mainly 19th century. Today with its thirty-four stylish en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant with lunch and dinner menus and two bars, The Bell offers guests the opportunity to relax in traditional comfort with all the benefits of modern facilities. This small hotel prides itself on providing the personal service to ensure that every visit is a memorable occasion.
Falstaff Hotel, Canterbury
Situated in the heart of the historic town of Canterbury, the Falstaff Hotel is steeped in tradition with its origin in the 15th century. Many of the original features are still in great evidence here, especially in the cosy lounge and bar.
An elegant Georgian Manor House, Reads is surrounded by tranquil grounds in the Kentish countryside. Although more widely known for its exceptional dining, Read's has six guest rooms each of which have been individually designed and furnished in period style. You will be warmly welcomed here where you will get a flavour of English country living.
